"Have I got what it takes?"
Well, If you have a head for heights plus common sense and
confidence then you do have what it takes.
We have trained people from all walks of life
As you may have read in the national media, the construction
industry is currently experiencing a massive skills shortage.
To address this shortage we continually have to train people to
build. The
new technology in construction requires highly skilled operatives
carrying
out demanding jobs. This is especially evident in Lifting
Operations.
The law requires that an operator must reach a benchmark of competence before operating to commercial standards. That benchmark for ALL operatives employed on Major Contractor Group sites is set by industry leaders, and the qualification is gained through the National Vocational Qualification system and the Construction Plant Competence Scheme.
Companies require these operators to be trained to a very high standard.
We offer four operator qualifications within one course on three tower cranes, they are;
1. Tower Crane Operator Luffing Jib (Tornborg Magni S40)
2. Tower Crane Operator Saddle Jib (Liebherr 78EC, Linden LS101)
3
. Slinger/Signaller.
4
. Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane (Liebherr 78C, Tornborg Magni S40)
Plus in House Tower Crane Rescue- use of controlled descent device.
This full package makes the new operator very employable.
